Night Shelter Manager

Open Doors is seeking seasonal employees for our emergency shelter. This position has the option of two shifts daily- 6pm-midnight and 11:45pm-7am. Scheduling is flexible to accommodate other obligations. Responsibilities/duties include: managing shelter operations with volunteers, ensuring safety/security of host shelter site and homeless guests, register guests, assure homeless guests follow shelter rules, and troubleshoot any problems that arise during shelter hours.  Night Shelter Managers work in close cooperation with congregational/community volunteers. Requirements: Basic computer skills, experience in working/volunteering with the homeless population, must be available to work during the above stated hours on weeknights and/or weekends and holidays. Social work experience preferred. Hourly rate $14.00.
