Meet Melissa

 

After moving from her childhood home in Oregon and a short season residing in Texas, Melissa has lived now lived in Virginia for the past 16 years, considering it “home”. Melissa has over ten years of experience in servant-leadership and five years of self-taught development experience providing high-level support to various non-profits over the years. Areas of focus have included crisis pregnancy, veteran services, suicide prevention, after-school educational enrichment programs and various Christian ministries.

Formerly an independent grant writer and development consultant, Melissa is excited to serve Open Doors with her skills, gifts, and talents.

Melissa is an adventurer at heart, along with her husband and four children. They have visited 24 different states as a family! For part of 2022 and most of 2023, they lived in a 5th wheel RV while traveling the country exploring the amazing terrain of the United States of America! They live in Middlebrook, Virginia.
