Night Shelter Manager

Open Doors is seeking seasonal employees for October, 2018 through April, 2019. This position has one shift daily- 11:45 pm to 7:00 am, maximum 25 hours weekly. Scheduling is flexible to accommodate other obligations. Responsibilities/duties include: managing shelter operations with volunteers, ensuring safety/security of host shelter site and homeless guests, register guests, assure homeless guests follow shelter rules, and troubleshoot any problems that arise during shelter hours.  Night Shelter Managers work under the supervision of the Executive Director and in close cooperation with congregational/community volunteers. Requirements: Basic computer skills, experience in working/volunteering with the homeless population, must be available to work during the above stated hours on weeknights and/or weekends and holidays.
