Colt grew up in Western New York, before moving down to attend Eastern Mennonite University. After graduating he travelled throughout the states and abroad, working as a camp counselor, an advocate for parolee youth, a sous chef, as well as program coordinator for a bicycle shop training youth.
Most recently Colt cycled across the US, from Delaware to Oregon, completing the trip with only three flat tires. He has since moved back to the Harrisonburg area, with a renewed interest in collaborating with the community. Using his experience at previous non-profits he is excited to apply that knowledge in his work with Open Doors.
In his free time Colt enjoys riding his bicycle, drawing and design, as well as hiking and camping in the Shenandoah Mountains.
