A Harrisonburg-Rockingham native, Nathaniel "Nate" now resides in Staunton with his wife, Victoria, and their family. At his core, Nate is community-driven and takes a collaborative approach to leadership.

He enjoys serving as Open Doors’ executive director, where he holistically oversees and leads the organization, while advocating for positive outcomes. Nate’s prior experience primarily comes from healthcare and higher education administration, where he worked with diverse stakeholders, optimizing operations, and working in communications. He is a proven leader and administrator and is thrilled to be part of this exciting time in Open Doors' history.

Nate is a proponent of community service and volunteerism, and serves on his church’s board, in the Keezletown Ruritan Club, a City of Staunton Commission, the Western VA Continuum of Care Media & Advocacy Committee, and the Faces 4 Change Harrisonburg Coalition. Nate also represents Open Doors in various collaboratives, coalitions, and community groups.

He earned his bachelor's in psychology with a concentration in clinical & counseling psychology and a Master of Public Administration from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Outside of work and community service, Nate enjoys traveling, anything outdoors, and listening to various music genres when he has downtime.
